TrashDay reminds you the night before every garbage, recycling, and paper collection — and tells you when a holiday shifts your pickup.
Download on the App StorePick your time and get a nudge the evening before every collection. A last-call reminder at 6:30 AM catches you if the bins still aren't out.
The full year's schedule, built in. When a holiday pushes collection back a day, TrashDay knows — and warns you ahead of time.
See your next pickup from the home screen, lock screen, or your wrist — and mark the bins as out right from the notification.
First check that the right town and route/group are selected in the app's Settings. Schedules can change on short notice; always follow official notices from your town. If something in the app is out of date, email us and we'll fix it fast.
Open the app, tap the gear to open Settings, and use the Schedule and Reminders sections. Changes take effect immediately, including on widgets and Apple Watch.
Reminders require notification permission. Go to iOS Settings → Notifications → TrashDay and make sure notifications are allowed. The app's Settings screen also shows exactly which reminders iOS has scheduled next.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TrashDay, or the Manage Subscription button in the app's Settings. Cancelling keeps Premium until the end of the paid period.
There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Your town, route, and preferences never leave your device. Two optional Premium features send a small amount of data off-device to make them work — a push token for Bin Night Live Activity, and household status via Apple's own CloudKit for Household Sharing. Read the full privacy policy for exactly what and why.
